Local Government

Southgate Council is responsible for the governance of the Township of Southgate, guided by provincial legislation. It considers recommendations from it's committees and makes decisions about matters that are local government responsibilities.

Southgate Council is composed of a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and five Councillors who are all elected at large. For contact information for the members of our current term of Council (2018-2022) please view our Council Members page.
