February 19, 2025 Special and Regular Council Meeting Highlights

·        A Special Council/Committee of the Whole meeting was held to present the first draft of the 2025 Budget, where an overview of the proposed budget allocations, priorities and anticipated financial impact on the Township’s operations and capital projects. The first draft budget documents can be viewed here.

·        Prior to the Council Meeting, a Public Planning Meeting was held regarding file C32-24 being a Township initiated Zoning By-law Amendment to amend the provisions surrounding Decks and Accessory Structures provisions. This Public Planning Meeting comes following the Public Planning Open House that was held in November 2024 which included discussion on the matter. Council discussed the amendment and there will be a report and a By-law brought forward for consideration at a later Council Meeting date.

·       Council heard a presentation from the South East Grey Community Health Centre, that provided an update on programs and activities offered throughout the community.

·        Council received a presentation from Carl Seider, with Grey Sauble Conservation Authority regarding Risk Management Services. Interim CAO Ellis presented a report to Council requesting approval to appoint the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority for Risk Management Services and Part IV Enforcement of Source Protection Plans in the Township for a period of five years.

·       Economic Development Officer Brenna Carroll presented a report to Council seeking approval to appoint members to the Downtown Revitalization Taskforce. Congratulations to Samantha Parent, Govind Singh, Nieve Power, Stacy Sherson, Marg McCarthy, Erin Goodyear and Talha Wasti!

·        Cory Henry, Supervisor, Water & Roads presented the 2024 Dundalk Drinking Water and Wastewater Reports.
