Township Launches Downtown Revitalization Project

The Downtown Revitalization program is offered by Ontario’s Ministry of Rural Affairs (OMRA), and aims to help boost the downtown core and economic well-being of Ontario’s small communities. Through the tried-and-tested Downtown Revitalization methodology, the project team will conduct community engagement and analyze their findings, create an action plan that identifies opportunities for Dundalk’s downtown business community, and coordinate efforts amongst existing organizations that serve the public and business interests in the Dundalk community. The project team will consist of municipal staff and community volunteers with a vested interest in downtown Dundalk. Township staff are seeking volunteers who are owners or employees of downtown businesses, commercial landowners, and downtown Dundalk residents to serve on the project team.
