The Township of Southgate owns and manages the Maple Grove Cemetery, located at 180199 Grey County Road 9, just west of the Town of Dundalk. Maple Grove Cemetery services include casket and cremation interments, columbarium interments and a scattering garden.

The Maple Grove Cemetery sells plots as either single or double in size. Triple plots may be purchased based on location availability. Each single plot can house 1 casket burial and up to 3 cremated urns. If there is no casket burial, a single plot can house 4 cremated urns. See the below diagram for further information:

The Maple Grove Cemetery currently has two Columbariums. Each Columbarium has 48 compartments (Niches) that can each hold two urns containing cremated remains. Engraving on the niche door is included with the total price of the niche. |
| Scattering Garden - Cremation Scattering |

The Maple Grove Cemetery has dedicated lands for those who wish to have their cremated remains scattered. A central memorial is available for engraving the names of those scattered for an additional fee. Scattering remains are only permitted within the designated boundaries of the Scattering Garden and must be supervised and/or carried out by Cemetery staff. |

| The Maple Grove Cemetery is governed by By-law 2021-120 being a by-law to maintain, manage, regulate and control the Maple Grove Cemetery. Please review the By-law in it's entirety prior to purchasing the rights to inter remains in the Cemetery. |
The Township of Southgate also maintains a list of active and inactive cemeteries that are privately owned within the Township. Although we do our best to maintain an accurate and current listing, we are not always notified when private cemeteries change management.
