Most residents residing within the village of Dundalk will be required to contact Canada Post on 111 Main Street East in Dundalk to register for mail delivery. Please contact the post Office on Main Street in Dundalk to set this up. For more information for the Mount Forest, Conn, Durham, Holstein, and Ayton areas, please visit the local Canada Post Office. |
Recreation |
The Township of Southgate is home to many recreational facilities, parks, sports groups, clubs, and organizations. There is something for everyone in Southgate, including free public skating all winter long at the Dundalk Arena. Schools |
Within the boundaries of the Township of Southgate there is a French Catholic School in the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence School Board, and there are 3 public schools in the Bluewater District School Board:
- Dundalk and Proton Community School (JK to Grade 2) in Dundalk
- Highpoint Community School (Grade 3 to 8) in Dundalk
- Egremont Community School (JK to Grade 8) in Holstein
- Ecole Catholique Saint Dominique-Savio (JK to Grade 12) in Owen Sound

Drivers Licence and Health Card Address Change |
Remember to change your address on your health card and your driver’s licence. This can be done by visiting the Government of Ontario website. |
Waste Resources and Diversion Management |
Each home is assigned 3 carts (blue for recycling, 1 grey or black for waste, and 1 green for organics). Please ensure that these carts are at your business location. Southgate is divided into 4 zones for collection. A Collection Schedule Calendar is sent out annually to each business in Southgate. A copy of the Collection Schedule Calendar, Zone Map, and Details of what is accepted can be found on the Township website. Pick-up for recycling and waste collection alternates weekly and the Green Cart is picked up each week. For more information contact the Township of Southgate Public Works Office. |
Dog Licence |
All dogs must be licenced in the Township of Southgate. Tags are renewed and sent out annually. To obtain your first tag, please follow the link below visit or contact the Township of Southgate Municipal Office.
